Speaker Wetangula pledges to address the standoff over majority coalition in parliament

National assembly Moses Wetangula says the battle for majority leadership is yet to be placed on his table for determination. The house speaker nonetheless committed to be bound by the constitution, parliamentary standing orders and relevant laws in resolving the stalemate. Both Azimio and Kenya kwanza camps are digging in, claiming the majority leadership in the national assembly.

  1. This is what is wrong with this country. Kenyan lawmakers are one of the highest paid in the world. Their salaries and benefits should be halved to end this entitlement that elected office is a place of self enrichment at the expense of Kenyan taxpayers.

  2. Why was Azimio defeated in earlier positions if indeed they are the majority. Azimio should forget those members that they forced to join them because when it comes to voting, they will definitely vote for Kenya Kwanza. So you don’t have them at all.
